Project Files are not available for Amazing eLearning; at least not in the same context as other Photoshop training programs we have encountered. Instead of having files you can download to your computer to use in Photoshop, Amazing eLearning incorporates hands-on into the course. The tutorial videos pause is certain places and you actually have to perform a task - like clicking on a particular menu or button - in order to proceed. So instead of just watching the video, you get to play along.

When you purchase a CD-ROM product from Amazing eLearning, you are granted access to the same course online at no extra cost. There is also an online pay-per-course feature if you aren’t interested in CD’s. We didn’t sample the online courses because none of the demos are for Photoshop so we can’t tell you what it is like.

We found several sample videos for Amazing eLearning CD courses and have to mention the Photoshop Elements 5 video because we found it amusing and disturbing at the same time. The lesson content was actually quite educational, but the source of our amusement was the voice of the instructor.

Our best attempt at identifying this voice was to call it a digital voice emulator. It is the result of a computer taking individual pre-recorded words and piecing them together in an attempt to form complete sentences, only it sounds completely unnatural. The experience was very strange and unsettling – to say the least – but certainly warrants a humorous mention.
