Ease of Use:  

Adobe is well-known for creating applications with maximum flexibility, yet simple navigation. Elements 7 is no exception. Upon launching Elements, you have the option of organizing your photos, editing them, creating photo books, calendars, collages, or slide shows; or sharing your images to an online gallery, your Flickr account, CD/DVD, and email, to name a few.

Organizing photos is a simple task in Elements: Simply drag and drop your photos into Elements, and sort them by keyword tag, size, date taken, and so on.  For editing photos, you can go gung ho in Full Edit mode, where every tweak and trick in Elements is at your disposal. Beginners might feel more comfortable using either the Quick or Guided editors. The Quick Fix editor gives you the option of either auto-correcting your image, or manually setting color, lighting, and sharpening using convenient sliding bars. The Guided editor walks you through everything from cropping and sharpening, to color correction and touching up. This mode is the best for beginners that we’ve seen in any photo editing program. With descriptive text and instructions, you can do the work while you learn about key photo editing concepts.

Layout

Photoshop Elements 7 is organized into four task categories:

1. Organize: import, tag, sort
2. Edit/Fix: three levels of editing, which include Quick Fix, Full Edit and Guided Edit
3. Create: Find printing and digital projects here including slide shows, photo collage and greeting card
4. Share: Ready to share your photos or project with friends? Simply click to email, send to a mobile phone, post to the Web, or send out for printing.

Importing:  

Importing has never been easier than in Elements, where the Organizer lets you simply drag and drop all your photos in. By default, Elements imports everything in the My Pictures folder on your computer, and you can even do basic editing within the Organizer, like red eye correction, and lighting adjustment. Photos are automatically organized into stacks of similar photos during the import process. You’ll have an opportunity to confirm the stacks later. PDF files and frames from videos can be imported from your computer too. Easily get photos from cameras, scanners, CDs, DVDs, and mobile phone cameras.
